The Nomad XT is built with the ultimate streamlining in mind. A properly balanced sidemount rig should not require additional weight on the shoulders. Divers who wear heavy tanks or those just getting started with sidemount will often opt this older solution to resolve trim issues. Seeing this makeshift solution in the field, we redesigned our offroad sidemount rig with a new, wing design.

The DiveRite Nomad XT Harness System Complete is a robust and versatile sidemount diving system designed for technical divers who demand durability and adaptability in challenging environments. Built on the proven TransPac XT harness, this system offers a modular design that accommodates various diving configurations, including sidemount, backmounted doubles, singles, or closed-circuit rebreathers (CCR).

Key Features:

  • Modular Design: The Nomad XT system includes separate components—TransPac XT harness, Nomad XT wing, buttplate, and 2-inch crotch strap—allowing divers to customize and adjust the setup to their specific needs.
  • Durable Construction: The wing's outer panels are made with SuperFabric® brand technology, providing exceptional resistance to punctures and abrasions while maintaining flexibility.
  • Optimized Lift Distribution: The wing is narrow at the neck and angled at the sides, with additional lift at the bottom, delivering up to 50 lbs of lift capacity. This design ensures optimal trim and buoyancy control, especially when diving with heavy tanks.
  • Adjustable Bungee System: DiveRite's Adjustable Bungee System allows for easy length adjustments without the need for knots, accommodating various bungee configurations such as ring bungee, loop bungee with snap, and loop bungee. A set of chokers is included for divers using the ring bungee and choker method.
  • Gusset Control System (GCS): The GCS enables divers to control the wing's profile and lift, making it adaptable when switching between different cylinder types, such as steel to aluminum or twin tanks to single.
  • Inflator and OPV Placement: The inflator is positioned at the top center of the wing, behind the neck, with dual overpressure valves (OPVs) at the bottom, allowing for efficient gas dumping from various angles.

The Nomad XT Harness System Complete comes pre-assembled and is available in sizes M through XXL, with options for single or dual bladder wings. This system is proudly made in the USA and is ideal for divers seeking a reliable, customizable, and expedition-ready sidemount rig.
